Father Justin Parvu was a true shepherd of souls, who was crucified for the love of Christ through deepest trials and now lives as a resurrected man in our hearts. At the age of 17 he decided to become a monk and five years later, with the outbreak of World War II, he found himself at the front as a military chaplain. In the storm of suffering that followed he was sentenced to seventeen years in prison. These years were for Fr. Justin a period of great spiritual struggle through martyrdom. He then returned to the monastic life with a valuable spiritual and experiential experience that made him a mountain of love in the eyes of all who knew him.
