Waiting God - Speeches about sickness, pain & death / Archim. Aimilianos Simonopetritis
Elder Emilianos, deeply convinced that the righteous one "passed from death to life", always urged his children to face illness and death as sons of God. He took the presence of suffering in the life of the believer so much for granted that he said that "only if God forgets us, or if we forget God, is it possible for us to remain without pain and without the beating of an illness".
His catechisms and discourses on sickness and death, largely arising from some significant event, form the content of this volume.
The edition is introduced by the Abbot of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopaidi, Archimandrite Ephraim.
