A herb that is found under various names such as: St. John's wort, balm, phenobarbital, spatula, periki, herb of St. John the Baptist, known from ancient times for its antibiotic, antiseptic, bactericidal and anti-inflammatory properties. It is collected and packaged in glass jar to keeps  its characteristics intact by the fathers of the Monastery of Xenophontos.
