Genuine product from Mount Athos monasteries.
Diameter: 16.5cm / Weight: ~220g.
Prosphora is the bread offered by the faithful to the Church for the preparation of Holy Communion mystery. During the Eucharist, the bread and wine as Holy Gifts are transformed into the "body and blood of the Lord" by the grace of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Bread seal is round in shape, symbolizing the womb of the Virgin Mary from which our Lord Jesus Christ was born. In the center of the Prosphora stamp is the Lamb with the letters IC XC NIKA (Jesus Christ Conquers), to the left of the Lamb is the triangular portion of the Virgin Mary with the letters M and Θ (Mother of God) and to the right are nine small triangles from which the portions of the Saints and Angels are extracted.
