Many books have been published about the blessed Elder Paisios that helped to make him more known. But what has been released mainly refers to his teaching and his miracles with little biography. (...] As long as Father Paisios lived, we had no provision to take notes, record him, photograph him or collect information in order to create his biography. We may just be overlooked, but we are quietly aware that we didn't do something that would upset the Elder.

The only supplies were a few notes from his answers to personal questions on daily spiritual struggles. The Elder referred to these examples from his own struggles, supernatural events and demonic temptations. We mainly relied on what our memory saved, many of which we heard not once. His words, which we had hidden or rather written in our hearts, are now conveyed on paper for the benefit of our brothers.
