The presence of the Holy Monastery of Simon Petra in the Athonite state has a long history, and is linked to the flourishing of monastic life on Mount Athos over the last fifty years. Important and interesting publications have been published on Simonopetra from time to time; however, a travelogue presenting the history and the present of the monastery from the pilgrim's point of view was something that was missing, and this gap is filled by the very thoughtful publication entitled "Simonopetra - History & Spiritual Tradition", which has just been released by Indictus Publications.
