Mount Athos weathered lithography (icon) of Saint Chryssi the Martyr in pine wood with carved decoration.
Saint Chryssi lived in the years of the emperor Claudius and came from a rich and aristocratic family. When she was arrested by the pagans, she confessed her faith in Christ and as a result she was tortured horrifically. The Saint surrendered her pure soul to the Lord in 269 AD. Her memory is honored by the Orthodox Christian Church on January 30 of each year.
