Saint Jacob was the Patriarch of Israel and the son of Isaac and Rebekah. According to the Old Testament he lived in the 18th century BC. He had 12 sons and received from an angel of the Lord the name Israel, which means "Warrior of God".
Saint Jacob, the ancestor of Jesus Christ, celebrates on Sunday between December 18 and 24 of each year.
