The Saint was distinguished for his hard work and for his ascetic and Christian life. After the death of his parents, he decided to become a monk and went to the Monastery of Saint David the Elder in Northern Evia. He was later ordained a deacon and an elder by the Metropolitan of Chalkida, Gregory.
