St. Sophronius (born Sergei Semyonovich Sakharov, 22 September 1896 AD - 11 July 1993 AD) was a Russian Orthodox monk , on Mount Athos in the Russian Monastery of St. Panteleimon and is considered one of the most charismatic monks of the 20th century.
