Mount Athos weathered lithography (icon) of Saint Stylianos of Paphlagonia in pine wood with carved decoration.

Saint Stylianos lived in Paphlagonia, a country in Asia Minor, between the 4th and 6th centuries AD. As soon as his family died, he distributed all his property to the poor and the sick and decided to follow the ascetic life. His fame spread rapidly and many visited him in the desert to receive his spiritual counsel.

Saint Stylianos had a special love and affection for children. God gave him the miraculous power to heal sick children and to give children to the childless. After many years of hard ascetic life, he reached old age and died. The Orthodox Christian Church commemorates him on November 26 of each year.
