Saint Symeon lived in Jerusalem and was a righteous and virtuous man, enlightened by the Holy Spirit. Forty days after the birth of Jesus Christ, he was found in the Temple of Jerusalem and took to his arms the Holy Infant during the Presentation of Christ. The Saint is the protector of pregnant women and fetuses. His memory is commemorated on February 3 of each year.
