Saint Zaccheus was a Deacon of the Church of Gadira. He martyred by beheading by pagans because he confessed his faith in Christ. Alphaeus, his companion, was beheaded in 307 AD together with Zaccheus. The Orthodox Christian Church commemorates them on November 18 of each year.
